Mission/Vision/Values
Mission Statement
The mission of The Sidney Center is to serve those whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant death.
Vision Statement
The Sidney Center is creating a community where bereaved families receive comprehensive grief support in a way that sustains the family unit and returns them to a productive and hope-filled life in their community.
Value Statement
Respectful - Every life is special from the moment it starts and should be respected, no matter how long they live, with the hope of seeing our babies again.
Responsible - Living in this community motivates us to become involved in the lives of families whose babies have died.
Compassionate - As caring, loving people who have experienced a loss, we walk with others on their journey of grief to healing.
Accepting - Knowing that loss knows no boundaries, we offer a safe place for grieving families to heal, in a way that sustains all individuals.
Because we believe in a God who loves us and taught us to love others; it is with this same spirit that we are caring people who assist hurting families, guiding them to comfort and resources in their grief.
